Blood Glucose Monitoring

 

Everyone with diabetes should be testing their blood Sugar.  Your health care provider can help you determine how many times a day you should test, but studies show that the more frequently you test, the better control you can achieve.

The target goals currently set forth by the ADA (American Diabetes Association) are as follows:

 

 


Pre-meal blood sugar: 80 to 120

Bedtime blood sugar: 100 to 140
